[naʃsi'mẽtu], Francisco Manuel do, arkadischer Pseudonym Filinto Elísio [fi'lintu i'lizi̯u], portugiesischer Lyriker, * Lissabon 21. 12. 1734, ✝ Paris 25. 2. 1819; Geistlicher; letzter bedeutender Vertreter des arkadischen Neoklassizismus; floh vor der Inquisition nach Paris, war dort u. a. mit A. de Lamartine befreundet. Nascimento hinterließ ein umfangreiches Werk, u. a. Oden, Episteln, Epigramme, Satiren, Fabeln, Madrigale sowie eine Poetik in Briefform (»De arte poética portuguesa«, entstanden 1790, herausgegeben 1826); er übersetzte auch Werke aus dem Lateinischen und Französischen.
 
Ausgaben: Obras de Filinto Elysio, herausgegeben von S. Constáncio, 22 Bände (31836-40); Poesias, herausgegeben von J. Pereira Tavares (1941).
